The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science of the Autonomous University of the State of Mexico (UAEM) has announced the call for the “Juan Flores Mancilla and Isaura Trujillo de Flores” Award of Merit in Science and Technology in Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science for the year 2024. This prestigious award, established in 2010 by the Flores Trujillo family, aims to recognize the academic and scientific work of professionals in the field of Veterinary and Zootechnical Sciences.
The competition is open to academics, researchers, and specialists from higher public education institutions and research institutes in the State of Mexico and other entities who are conducting research in the specified areas. Participants must prove authorship of their work, which should have been registered as a research project within the past 10 years. The work must be innovative, with clear objectives and conclusive results that ideally benefit society.
Interested individuals must submit their work individually in the specified format. If the work is collective, written authorization from co-authors must be provided. Submissions should be sent electronically on a compact disk along with a letter addressed to Dr. Desiderio Rodríguez Velázquez, the director of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Zootechnics of UAEM.
Entries must be submitted with a pseudonym, and contact details must be enclosed in a separate envelope. The winning entry will receive a cash prize of $20,000 Mexican pesos and a recognition diploma. The jury reserves the right to declare the award void if the submissions do not meet the required academic standards.
The award ceremony will take place on August 16, 2024, at the UAEM campus in Toluca, State of Mexico.
