Cheddar recalled for Listeria. Removed the call of water

The Ministry of Health issued a recall notice for a batch of Cahill Porter’s Irish Cheddar from Cahill Farm Cheeses for “presence of Listeria“. The product in question is sold in fractions starting from whole 2.27 kg wheels, with the batch number 21118 and the expiry date 28/10/2021.

Cheddar cheese recalled was produced by Cahill Farm Cheeses Ltd at Cork Road, Newcastle West, Limerick, Ireland (identification mark IE 1811.

Update July 30, 2021: Fonte Plose Spa, in a press release, announces that “the Ministry of Health removed from its official portal the notification published on July 28th announcing the recall for non-compliance of some lots of Acqua Plose. In fact, it was an erroneous publication, given that the company had only activated the precautionary withdrawal of some batches of the product as part of the regular self-control activity.

Fonte Plose wishes to confirm to its customers the commitment made every day to guarantee reliable and high quality products, bottled in a modern factory and subject to continuous controls, and the integrity of a company that has always been committed to the environment, the territory and people’s health.

The ministry also reported the recall of some lots and formats of Plose natural mineral water for an unspecified non-compliance. The bottles affected by the provision are those in glass of 100 cl bottled on 13/07/2021 with the minimum conservation term (Tmc) 13/07/2023, on 14/07/2021 with the Tmc 14/07/2023, the 07/15/2021 with Tmc 07/15/2023, 07/19/2021 with Tmc 07/19/2023 and 07/21/2021 with Tmc 07/21/2023, the 75 cl bottles bottled on 20/07/2021 with the Tmc 20/07/2021, and those of 50 cl bottled on 21/07/2021 with the Tmc 21/07/2023.

Mineral water natural recalled was bottled by Fonte Plose Spa, in the plant in via J. Durst 12, in Bressanone, in the autonomous province of Bolzano.

As a precaution, it is recommended not to consume the products with the indicated lots and deadlines and to return them to the point of purchase.
