The “pill” has been talked about for over ten years with countless experimental studies still in progress. But so far there is no effective male oral contraceptive that can inhibit spermatogenesis without causing unacceptable side effects. On the other hand, the announcement by the Society of Endocrinology of Atlanta, Georgia, which presented two experimental pills, called DMAU and 11β-MNTDC, androgenic and progestin drugs, is promising.
