Covid: Sardinia cases more than tripled, 2,600 in 24 hours
A surge in cases in Sardinia where Covid infections have more than tripled in 24 hours, going from 753 to 2658 (of which 2477 diagnosed as antigenic). However, the number of swabs carried out also increased: a total of 8417 tests were processed, including molecular and antigenic ones, compared to 1,332 the previous day, with a positivity rate that dropped from 56.7% to 29.4%. There is also the death of an 80-year-old woman and an 88-year-old man, both resident in the province of Southern Sardinia. The number of patients admitted to intensive care units dropped by one (7), while those in the medical area rose by nine to above 100 (103). Cases of home isolation are also on the rise (+1363) which are now 16238.
