There are 72,568 new infections from Covid in the last 24 hours, according to data from the Ministry of Health. Yesterday there were 85,288. The victims are 137 instead (yesterday there were 180).

There are 1,054,167 people currently positive for Covid, with an increase of 18,043 in the last 24 hours, according to data from the Ministry of Health. A total of 13,563,466 Italians have been infected since the beginning of the pandemic, while the deaths rise to 157,314. The discharged and healed are 12,351,985, with an increase of 55,967 compared to yesterday.

There are 490,711 molecular and antigenic swabs for the coronavirus carried out in the last 24 hours, according to data from the Ministry of Health. Yesterday there were 587,015. The positivity rate is 14.8%, stable compared to yesterday’s 14.5%. Instead, 477 patients are hospitalized in intensive care, 25 fewer than yesterday in the balance between entries and exits. The daily admissions are 31. The hospitalized in the ordinary wards are 8,410, or 63 less than yesterday.

According to the WHO, after a substantial decrease since the end of January 2022, the number of new weekly cases of Covid-19, in the six regions of the Organization, has increased by 8% during the week from 7 to 13 March 2022. The number of new deaths continued to decline, down 17% from the previous week. They have been reported over 11 million new cases and just over 43,000 new deaths, leading to over 455 million confirmed cases and over 6 million deaths globally. This was reported by the new weekly report (n.83) of the World Health Organization.
