What the Region does
For many years, Emilia-Romagna has supported and encouraged correct hand hygiene in all regional healthcare contexts with:
Blended training activities for healthcare professionals. Awareness campaigns. Computerized monitoring of hand hygiene compliance (MappER, web application).
Promotes the prevention of healthcare-associated infections (ICA) and antimicrobial resistance (AMR) in daily clinical practice and in healthcare settings (acute hospitals, local activities, social care facilities, etc.).
The constant commitment to correct hand hygiene by professionals, citizens, healthcare organizations and policy makers aims to ensure effective and safe healthcare.
