Design4Parents, the contest that develops services for new parents

Maker Faire Rome e Wire, one of the main startups in the production of IoT tracking devices with bluetooth technology, launches in collaboration with Name the second edition of Desig4Parents. The innovation contest is intended for all those who want to develop an object or a service designed for who it becomes parent for the first time.

After the success of the first edition, which saw more than 200 applications, the only Italian call for designers, makers, students and innovators and dedicated to the themes of new parenting is back. Prize pool doubled: up for grabs this year 10 thousand euros divided among the first three winning projects: first prize of seven thousand euros, second prize of two thousand euros and third prize of one thousand euros.

There are two thematic strands that guide the challenge: Daily life at the time of Covid, to understand how the pandemic has changed the habits and needs of new families, ed Education & Technology, to understand how technology could become an ally for children and parents.

The jury that will examine the projects is composed of Lapo Ceccherelli, designer and co-founder of Filo, Lorenzo Anselmi, marketing & product engineering director di Artsana, Alberto Oliverio, neuroscienziato, Giorgia Lanzilli Writer, Anna Oliverio Ferraris, psychotherapist and developmental psychologist, Carlo Frinolli, ceo e founder & head of design Nois3 e Marika Aakesson, designer and president of Adi Lazio. The inscriptions are open and all the details to participate are available on the announcement website, which will close on 25 november.
