Doctor attacked, firm condemnation from the Local Health Authority: “Uncivilized and very serious act, more respect is needed”

“It is a very serious and uncivilized act, which must be condemned with the most absolute firmness. As a Community we cannot allow these incidents to happen again to the detriment of professionals who work every day for the good of all citizens.”
The General Management of the Local Health Authority of Modena condemns the attack on a doctor which occurred in recent days in the Mirandola District. “There is no justification for episodes like these, we need respect for those who carry out their work with dedication and competence. Society must be united in condemning these events and sending clear messages.”

Just over a month ago – it was March 12th – the meeting in Piazza Grande with the General Directors of the Modena healthcare companies, the representatives of the institutions and professional categories on the occasion of the National Day of education and prevention against violence against health and social-health workers: here it was reiterated that every act of violence is never justifiable and that dialogue is the main way to resolve any conflict. Furthermore, it was an opportunity to remember the commitment of healthcare companies on this issue, with the campaigns and initiatives implemented to increase the sensitivity of operators, including training courses on the inclusion of reports in the new SegnalER system. Only in this way will it be possible to increase awareness of the problem, inside and outside the structures, and build “antibodies” that, in civil society, can contribute to countering any violence against healthcare personnel.
