The Montilla City Council has launched a new Wellness School Workshop aimed at promoting the well-being and personal development of women facing emotional vulnerability and social isolation. The workshop, conducted by the strategic consulting firm KOAN, includes 12 120-minute sessions held every fortnight from January 16 to April 16.
Fifteen women have been selected to participate in the workshop, with the goal of improving personal self-knowledge, reducing sadness, anxiety, stress, and self-destructive thoughts, as well as enhancing self-esteem and social integration.
The content of the sessions covers a range of topics including emotional intelligence, self-knowledge, self-esteem, mindfulness, assertive communication, conflict resolution, resilience, and living with joy.
The initiative reflects the commitment of the Montilla City Council to driving social improvements and improving people’s quality of life. According to Manuel Carmona, the head of the Area of Social Welfare, Culture, and Equality, the workshop is a response to the needs that have been identified in the community.
