Two children have fractures of the femur, one of the tibia and one child has the effects of a blast trauma to be evaluated and treated. A medical column of eight vehicles, supported by twenty operators from the Italian Red Cross including nurses, doctors, psychologists, cultural mediators and drivers, welcomed the young patients and their families after ten days of sea travel aboard the navy ship. . The operation was coordinated with the Prefecture of Bologna, the national CRI operations room, the unified Inter-H and 118 operations center, the Irccs Rizzoli Orthopedic Institute and the Department of Health Policies of the Emilia-Romagna Region. Upon arrival at Rizzoli, the patients and their families were welcomed by the general director Anselmo Campagna, the health director Viola Damen, the director of pediatric orthopedics Gino Rocca and the department staff.
