From Olivetti and Tecno “Sintesi”, the smart workstation for the home and office

by admin

Olivetti, digital farm for the TIM Group’s IoT solutions, and Tecno give life to the first intelligent workstation for the home and office. From a collaboration between the two companies, which combines skills in the Internet of Things, Sintesi is born, an innovative solution that makes working from home or in the office an integrated and connected experience, designed to respond to the need for a new balance in everyday life.

The project is highly innovative both from a conceptual and product point of view: SINTESI interprets the work environment in the most current ways, anticipating future needs.

The Sintesi product family is made up of an ergonomic seat, the super-equipped Unica workstation and the app that manages the entire “ecosystem” created by IO.T Solutions. From all these components comes a solution that facilitates daily work, at home and in the office, focusing on the person and his needs with the aim of combining comfort and efficiency. From sensors to measure air quality to ambient lights that follow the hours of the day, from noise-canceling headphones to the monitor that does not strain the eyes to the warning that signals when it’s time to take a break. also includes 5G connection.

The integration between the software platform and the app of IO.T Solutions and the hardware device of Olivetti make the solution ‘intelligent’ and allow the management of numerous functions. In fact, it is possible to make the workstation communicate with the company’s headquarters, central servers or shared platforms.

«A return to the origins, it seems to me to retrace how the P40 was born, one of the first Tecno products designed for man in a technological logic. Today, together with Olivetti, a new product has been created, it is called UNICA, and it is truly the synthesis between aesthetics and functionality », said Giuliano Mosconi, President and CEO of Tecno Spa.

“The Smart Home market, as represented by the TIM Study Center, has high potential to the point that it is estimated that it will double its turnover in a few years in Italy, reaching over one billion euros by 2023. For Olivetti this sector represents a fundamental test bench and the launch of SINTESI is an important result, which also highlights the ability of the three companies to create a system by sharing their mutual skills ”, stated Roberto Tundo, Olivetti CEO. “Furthermore, this solution is fully consistent with the values and history of Olivetti, combining technological excellence with excellence in design in a project that focuses on people and their needs, now more than ever aimed at harmonizing the working dimension. with the family one “.

“Today we launch the home-office ecosystem where technology is at the service of man to help him better manage work at home and in the office with the UNICA product and the SINTESI app, which allows you to use e- building in a simpler way », said Tommaso Mosconi, General Manager IO.T Solutions.

The initiative was presented today during the digital event “Discover SINTESI” – held at the “Blue House”, Olivetti’s technological hub in Ivrea – moderated by Pierpaolo Peruccio, Associate Professor of the Department of Architecture and Design of the Polytechnic of Turin and member of the board of the World Design Organization, with the participation of Carlo Ratti, director of MIT Senseable City Lab, and of the top management of the three companies.
