The additional dose will concern 52,911 people in Piedmont. These are patients with different pathologies and identified as a risk group for which a further vaccine booster is required. Additional doses of Pfizer or Moderna will be inoculated. The priority list was drawn up according to a list of pathologies defined by a circular from the Ministry of Health.

On the regional soil there are 52,911 subjects, called by the specialized centers where they are being treated, are divided as follows: 587 are awaiting transplant; 4,114 in chemotherapy or radiotherapy; 2 with complement deficiency; 1 with cellular immunity deficiency; with 3 deficiencies of humoral immunity; 2149 suffering from HIV; 2,118 with chronic renal / adrenal insufficiency; 12,631 with onco-haematological diseases; 12,453 with solid tumors; 281 bone marrow transplant recipients; 2,522 solid organ transplant recipients; 5,715 with congenital and acquired diseases that involve deficient production of antibodies; 10,277 with primary immunodeficiency diseases; 58 with acquired or congenital immunodeficiencies.
“The same centers – writes the Region – who have direct knowledge of the situation of individual patients, will also have the task of refining the list of recipients of the “additional” dose, because for some pathologies indicated by the ministerial circular, a clinical evaluation is required for the inclusion or not of a subject in this list.
As for the AslCn1 area, for the third dose we will start tomorrow at all vaccination centers in the area with the exception of the hub at the Ignazio Vian Barracks in the San Rocco Castagnaretta hamlet of Cuneo. The activity includes a start with various inoculations that will gradually increase over the next few days.
