Samsung is committed to providing the latest mobile experience for Galaxy users, and with this philosophy in mind, we announced that One UI 4.1, which debuted with the Galaxy S22 flagship series, will be extended to a wider range of Galaxy series models, allowing more consumers to experience Galaxy’s innovative features.
This wave of software upgrades starts with the Galaxy Z Fold3 and Galaxy Z Flip3, and the first wave of upgrades includes the Galaxy S21 flagship series(Note 1)Galaxy A series and Tab S7 FE; more Galaxy devices will be opened in the future, including the S20 flagship series(Note 2)Fold Z Fold(Note 3)、Z Flip(Note 4)Note series(Note 5)S10 series(Note 6)A series and Tab S series, etc.

Work closely and connect with each other through Google Duo Live Sharing
Google Duo on your Galaxy device, anywhere in the world(Note 7)Apps maintain relationships.With the Live Sharing function on Google Duo, even if you are far apart, you can share your screen with your friends, and view photos in the “Media Browser” synchronously to relive each other’s precious memories(Note 8); even during a video call, share the browser screen with the other party and complete common tasks in Samsung Notes – it is a powerful tool for planning a trip with friends, or writing notes efficiently in important meetings(Note 9)。
Expert RAW turns every frame into a masterwork
Galaxy S21 Ultra and S22 flagship series(Note 10)Users who want to get the most out of their cameras can now take advantage of the Expert RAW photo editing app to create stunning, magazine-like photographic masterpieces. It has a full range of built-in editing tools, providing an experience comparable to that of a digital SLR camera, allowing consumers to edit photos and videos with precision and detail, meeting users’ stringent needs for every detail. The program also saves files in JPG and DNG formats for truly professional post-editing. Expert RAW gives users ample creative space, from controlling ISO parameters to adjust photo brightness, to flexible switching of multiple lenses, to perfectly capture any object or scene.
Take back control of your images with Object Eraser
Sometimes a great photo can be ruined by background objects, people, shadows, or reflections the moment the shutter is pressed, allowing precious fleeting moments to slip through your fingers. Now, with the upgraded Object Eraser, it’s easy to remove clutter from the background, shadows obscuring subjects, and even reflections from windows.To remove shadows or reflections from a photo, simply use “Clear Shadows” or “Clear Reflections”(Note 11)。
Easy to share photos
Samsung knows that Galaxy users not only love content creation, but also share it. Therefore, a new wave of software upgrades has created a more simplified and smooth photo sharing experience. By automatically optimizing photos, you can ensure that the image to be sent meets user expectations, whether you crop excess images or adjust the tilt. After selecting an image to share, a reminder icon will appear if the device detects a flaw that needs to be improved. Just touch the icon and the image will be automatically adjusted, rotated or cropped before sharing.
As part of this upgrade, users can transfer selected images, videos and files in one go through the Quick Share feature. Just tap the “Share” button and choose who to send to, and you can easily transfer content.
Write messages with confidence using the Grammarly keyboard
Whether it’s chatting with friends, or writing an important email, not a word can be ignored. With that in mind, Samsung teamed up with Grammarly to develop a smarter keyboard that goes beyond spellchecking. With Grammarly’s seamless integration into Samsung keyboards, users can automatically get expert-level improvement suggestions every time they type, and finally hit the send key with confidence.In addition, users can also get advanced word selection suggestions, such as improving the clarity of the text, finding more incisive synonyms, expressing words fluently, etc., to improve writing skills to a new level(Note 12)。

Note 7: Google Duo is a trademark of Google LLC. The Live sharing host function will be available to users simultaneously when the Galaxy S22 flagship series and Galaxy Tab S8 flagship series are launched, and will be open to other Galaxy users running Android 12 OS in the future. Users may need to upgrade Google Duo to the latest version to enable this feature. Google Duo app support varies by market. Optimal internet connection required.
Note 8: Apps currently available for video sharing on Google Duo include Google Arts & Culture, Google Maps, JamBoard, Samsung Notes, Samsung Media Browser and YouTube.
Note 9: Google Duo supports QHD resolution and is limited to 4 people for video calls.
Note 10: The Expert RAW application currently only supports S21 Ultra and S22 flagship series. The Expert RAW feature suggested by Samsung Members will start supporting the Galaxy Z Fold3 in April 2022, and will support the Galaxy S20 Ultra, Galaxy Note20 Ultra, and Galaxy Z Fold2 later this year.
Note 11: The functions of “Clear Shadows” and “Clear Reflections” are only supported on Galaxy S10 flagship series and above. In the same photo, even if both shadows and reflections are detected, use only one of the eraser effects.
