Goodbye to Pinetti, historic pharmacist: he was first citizen

Emilio Pinetti, a beloved pharmacist and former mayor, has passed away at the age of 88 in Castione della Presolana. Originally from Ponte Nossa, where he served as mayor in the early sixties, Pinetti dedicated his life to serving his community through both politics and pharmacy.

Born in January 1936, Pinetti made a name for himself in the medical field, graduating early in Pharmacy and eventually taking over the pharmacy in Castione della Presolana in the early seventies. Known for his dedication to his customers and his meticulous approach to his profession, Pinetti remained a respected figure in the community until he retired about twenty years ago.

Even in his later years, Pinetti’s commitment to helping others remained unwavering. The mayor of Castione della Presolana, Angelo Improveti, praised Pinetti for his kindness, availability, and professionalism, especially during difficult times.

Pinetti is survived by his wife Maria Vezzoli and his son Marco. A prayer vigil was held in his honor yesterday evening, with the funeral scheduled to take place this afternoon at the parish church of Dorga.

The passing of Emilio Pinetti has left a void in the hearts of many in Castione della Presolana, but his legacy of service and dedication will be remembered for years to come.
