The first Giorgia Meloni went to the hospital today San Raffaele of Milan to visit Forza Italia leader and former prime minister Silvio Berlusconi who has been hospitalized since 5 April with pneumonia and leukemia.
The meeting – according to a note from Palazzo Chigi – lasted over an hour, and the two “talked about future scenarios, the next initiatives of the executive and the majority”.
«Berlusconi», Meloni writes in the note, «is in an excellent mood, is rapidly recovering, and despite the hospitalization he works incessantly on the main dossiers.
Meloni, during Sunday morning, was in Udine for the Alpini meeting.
Berlusconi, who is 86 years old, was hospitalized for a long time in intensive care due to pneumonia that arose in a body already debilitated by chronic myelomonocytic leukemia, a blood cancer.
In recent days, although debilitated by the disease, he has shot two videos: one for the convention of his party, Forza Italia; the other to invite citizens to vote in today’s and tomorrow’s municipal elections.
