One dead and two injured were the toll from a road accident that occurred in the afternoon on provincial road 652, in the municipal area of Castel Di Sangro, on the border with Rionero Sannitico.
From initial information we learned that it was a head-on collision between two cars, a Fiat Punto and an Alfa 147, visibly destroyed.
The two injured people, a young woman and an adult man, were transported to the emergency room of Sulmona hospital by a 118 ambulance. Both with serious injuries are undergoing checks by doctors. Unfortunately, one of the two drivers died shortly after being taken care of by the doctors at the Castel Di Sangro hospital. Traffic suffered significant slowdowns. The firefighters intervened on site to ensure safety and the carabinieri to reconstruct the dynamics of the accident and ascertain any responsibilities. The Sulmona Public Prosecutor’s Office, which has territorial jurisdiction, has started investigations into the case.
