The Green Office of the University of Burgos (UBU) is teaming up with the Palacios de la Sierra City Council and the Government of Castilla y León to host an environmental day focused on ‘Nature and Well-being’. The event, titled ‘Nature and Well-being’, will take place on Saturday, May 11th at the Casa de la Madera in the town of Comunero de Revenga.
The day will kick off at 10 a.m. with a presentation by Noemí Hortigüela from the Association of Forest Bathing Guides, followed by a talk from Diego Serrano Gómez, a professor and researcher at the UBU, on the health benefits of forest bathing. Various speakers throughout the day will discuss topics such as the forest of the year, wellbeing and forests, and initiatives that promote nature and well-being.
In the afternoon, participants will have the opportunity to take part in forest bathing walks, yoga sessions, and workshops on plants that promote well-being and the aromas of trees. The event is free to attend, and students studying at the UBU will receive credit recognition for their participation.
To take part in the forest bathing and workshops, participants must register in advance by emailing info@bañosbosque.es, while registration for the presentations can be done through the form on the UBU website. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to connect with nature and improve your well-being!
