Health, the No Vax challenge now moves within the professional orders: doctors, nurses and pharmacists under siege

TURIN. From occasional events, to professional orders. Better: within the Orders. It is the challenge that is being played, even in Turin, in the perimeter of Healthcare, in all its forms: doctors, nurses, pharmacists, midwives, technicians, veterinarians, etc.
The underlying theme is vaccines, disputed in terms of efficacy and safety, and of course the obligation to vaccinate, which for health professionals is confirmed until December 31st. One thing is certain: the suspended, because they defaulted, are not watching: they have separated themselves from the generic street protests, picturesque but useless, they are organizing themselves and trying to bring the struggle into Orders by which they no longer feel represented. .
Second round
Let’s take the case of doctors and dentists – 490 suspended only in Turin, 363 doctors, 39 dentists, 88 double enrolled -, where we are getting ready to play the second round after on 11 April the frond of the protesters had ditched the approval of the final balance sheet 2021. A few days after the second call, the members of the Order of Turin are receiving long messages via whatsapp from unknown numbers inviting them to join the rioters, evidently in search of proselytes: “We need each of us manifest the malaise of the category and express a strong and clear dissent towards the national ordinistic management – one of these reads -. This is why I invite you to participate or to delegate a colleague to vote against the approval of the budget at the second call of the assembly of the order “.
The attempt to broaden the shot
In the viewfinder, not only the acquiescence, if not the “enslavement” of the professional orders to political logic (“they have become simple executors of” orders “from the various ministries”), but, in the case of that of Turin, some voices expenditure: from the cost of the Imu in relation to the value of the office, telephone and cleaning costs. An attempt, is the feeling, to broaden the range: from the issue of vaccines to the budget and more generally to the management of orders, progressively de-legitimized. A position, however, reaffirmed not only in Turin by the ContiamoCi Association which, having returned from its first congress in Bergamo, wants to be accredited as a national reference point.
Nurses and pharmacists
If in the Order of Doctors the waters are troubled, the same can be said for that of the Nurses (about a hundred suspended): here too there is a whole circular of appeals and documents more and less vehement.
Same goes for pharmacists. The document read, signed by about fifty members and deposited in the acts of the Turin Order’s assembly held on 24 May is authentic. Once again, the topic is vaccines. Better: prescriptive appropriateness in the absence of “indications and supporting studies”. “The silence of orders and colleagues hidden behind the excuse of dictates from above or using excuses about what our duties would or would not be unacceptable – reads a passage in the document -: our health is at stake , that of our children and our fellow citizens, our profession requires us to defend and protect it by all means and ways “. The challenge is launched.
