More than 24 million Italians live with a chronic disease, or a disorder that lasts more than three months. However, with the lengthening of the average life span, the number is even destined to grow. The “CronOs, Chronicity and Osteopathy project” wants to offer an answer: here’s how to get a free visit to the osteopath just for this week if you suffer from back pain, joint pain and more.

Free visit to the osteopath between 7 and 13 June for those suffering from chronic diseases

Living with chronic diseases is possible. And osteopathy can be an answer. In fact, it contributes to improving the quality of life and reducing symptoms.

It is precisely to inform citizens about the benefits of osteopathy that the “CronOs, Chronicity and Osteopathy project” was born, promoted by the Registry of Osteopaths of Italy (ROI).

The initiative is dedicated to all patients, both adults and children, who suffer from chronic diseases. That is, ailments that last more than three months.

Here’s how to get a free osteopath visit just for this week if you suffer from back pain, joint pain and more.

It is possible to book a first visit free of charge between 7 and 13 June 2021. To do so, visit the “How to participate” section of the CronOs project website. It will then be enough to identify the closest osteopath among the more than 4,000 members of the ROI (Italian Registry of Osteopaths), scattered throughout the national territory. Once you have filled in a form with your data, you can contact the chosen professional directly.

Who can contact the osteopath

Osteopathy was founded in 1874 in America by Andrew Taylor Still. In Italy it has been recognized as an independent health profession since 2018. The osteopathic approach is complementary to that of the traditional discipline. The osteopath uses manual techniques both for diagnosis and for the treatment of trauma and pathologies.

But who can turn to the osteopath? The benefits of osteopathy are not limited to the treatment of back pain or joint pain. As reported by the testimonials of the CronOs project, it may be a good idea to contact an osteopath if you suffer from low back pain, bronchial asthma, neck pain, headache, dysmenorrhea, migraine, irritable bowel syndrome, etc. It should also not be forgotten that osteopathy can affect both adults and children.
