September is par excellence the month that marks the end of the summer holidays.

Numerous studies claim that anthocyanins also have amazing antioxidant properties. In fact, they help neutralize free radicals and protect the health of cells and tissues.
These molecules also have an anti-inflammatory action and stimulate the immune system’s response against various pathogens.

Also from the studies cited above, other properties of the anthocyanins contained in berries emerge.

In fact, in some hypertensive rats, the administration of anthocyanins tended to lower blood pressure and heart rate.
However, in addition to laboratory tests on animals, some epidemiological studies have come to the same conclusions. That is, a diet rich in anthocyanins significantly reduces the risk of contracting cardiovascular diseases.
