Italian Tech sent me, the definitive guide to digital rights

by admin

Per “digital citizenship” we mean that set of rights and duties that aim to simplify and make the relationship between citizens and public administration through the use of technologies.

We talk about the right to use in relations with public entities SPID, the digital signature, to submit online applications and receive notifications and online communications, to pay any fine or tax with IT tools.

Digital rights are collected in the “Digital Citizenship Charter”, a set of rules found within the Digital Administration Code (CAD), the legislative decree n. 82 of 2005.

The core of CAD rules dedicated to digital rights is aimed at broaden the sphere of rights of individuals and businesses and to make the very concept of citizenship more current.

For years, therefore, we have all been entitled to a digital relationship with the administration with a view to simplification, cost reduction and quality of life improvement. However, too often, administrations do not guarantee the effective implementation of the new rights.

“Mi manda Italian Tech” aims to promote the knowledge, and therefore the implementation, of digital rights and freedoms. Every week we will publish an in-depth study dedicated to one of the following rights:

  • Right to use technologies
  • Right to digital inclusion
  • Right to online applications and digital domicile
  • Right to digital identity
  • Right to make electronic payments
  • Right to online public services
  • Right to democratic participation online
  • Right to telematic transparency
  • Right to the protection and security of your data
  • Right to be connected to the internet… and to disconnect
