Jabugo Showcases Tourist Experiences Linked to Emotional Health at Fitur 2024
Jabugo, one of the charming towns in Huelva, has recently presented its tourism initiatives at Fitur 2024. The mayor, Gilberto Domínguez, announced the launch of a new project called “Municipality with Emotional Well-being,” which aims to connect tourist experiences with emotional health.
The initiative seeks to promote unique experiences based on nature, sports, and gastronomy, linking the town’s outstanding tourist resources with the emotional well-being of visitors. Gilberto Domínguez, along with deputy mayors Elena Castilla and Mireya Sánchez, presented the project at the Philippines and Huelva stands in the Andalusia Pavilion.
After the success of being named the Spanish Gastronomic City in 2023, the City Council is now focusing on valuing its tourist resources and their potential to generate happiness and emotional well-being for visitors. According to Domínguez, sharing the best ham in the world in Jabugo and enjoying the natural surroundings is a source of happiness and the objective of the project is to offer visitors a unique and unforgettable experience.
The program “Jabugo, Municipality with Emotional Well-being” includes activities such as culinary workshops, gastronomic parties, emotional self-care workshops, guided tours, and talks on emotional well-being. Additionally, the town will collaborate with educational centers to promote the benefits of outdoor activities and emotional well-being among children.
To promote the project, the mayor presented a promotional spot inviting people to visit Jabugo and enjoy the unique experiences that the City Council has prepared for the coming months. With the aim of enhancing tourism experiences and promoting emotional well-being, Jabugo is set to offer an unforgettable journey for its visitors in the upcoming year.
