The iMac computer equipped with the M1 chip was sold in Taiwan in early June. However, after receiving the M1 iMac, a foreign YouTuber found that the new computer seemed to have hardware defects, and the iMac screen and bracket were not installed flat enough, so that the left and right sides were unbalanced.
A foreign YouTuber “iPhonedo” released a commentary on the M1 version of the iMac over the weekend. At the beginning, “iPhonedo” pointed out that the screen of the M1 version of the iMac I got seemed a bit crooked. If you take a ruler from the back of the fuselage, you will find that the right screen Is obviously about 4 mm higher than the left
In addition to “iPhonedo”, a foreign netizen also complained on the Apple Support Forum that the left and right sides of the screen of his M1 version of iMac are also 1 mm apart, and the display is not completely horizontal. Some people complained about the same situation on the Reddit forum, but others said that their M1 version of the iMac display is not as exaggerated as the “iPhonedo”.
Although the iMac bracket and the display are fixed with screws, the official locks the bracket and the display at the factory, and locks 7 at a time. This also shows that the screen skew is not something consumers can fix by themselves.
