Monster Hunter Rise: Dawn has sold 3 million copies – Monster Hunter Rise

Capcom has been working with Monster Hunter for the past few years. While the series has always been popular in Japan, it also really took off in the West after the release of Monster Hunter: World, and it’s also a standalone expansion for Monster Hunter World: Iceborne.

Last year, they launched Monster Hunter Rise and produced a short story. It sells well. The huge success continued when it released on PC earlier this year, and now we’ve got another receipt that proves just how popular the series actually is.

It has sold (shipped) a whopping 3 million units since the release of the Monster Hunter Rise expansion, Breaking Dawn, on June 30. This is what Capcom himself revealed:

“Breaking Dawn is a massive high-end expansion for Rise. In addition to new quest levels, locations, monsters and unprecedented hunting operations, players can enjoy new story elements in Rise. Capcom is launching with a dedicated promotion ahead of its launch. Events that drive attention and interest in the game include the Capcom Showcase, a global live digital event during which the company broadly shares information about its games, and the release of the Sunbreak demo for Nintendo Switch and PC, All of this has brought the game to over 3 million units shipped worldwide. Capcom aims to continue growing sales over the long term, with a free update to the game starting in August and continuing with other game updates in the future.

Are you one of those 3 million gamers and what do you think of Breaking Dawn?
