These digital assets can be of different types: texts, audio, video, photographsrepresentations of real artwork or simply a tweet, such as the one made in 2006 by Twitter founder Jack Dorsey, which was sold at a charity auction for 2.9 million dollars. We are talking about a market whose exchanges are constantly growing: in the third quarter of 2021 the capitalization exceeded 10 billion dollars. Many sectors of application: from works of art to the fashion industry passing through sports, traveling and last but not least, gaming.

Nft and gaming: where video games and blockchains meet

As in all sectors, even in the world of video games, various companies have begun to study the NFT phenomenon, but above all to understand how to innovate their products through this technology. Eg GameStopthe multinational of stores that sell video games on physical media, has announced its entry into the world of NFT with the intention of building a digital marketplace where users can buy, sell and exchange them.

But online gaming players are definitely further ahead in this technological revolution than the competitors of the “old gaming industry”. In this sense, among the most interesting initiatives we find The Sandbox: born in 2012 as a game for android and iOS mobile devices, it has recently revolutionized its ecosystem through blockchain technology, leading not only to being able to buy virtual land, but also to create objects, shops and events through NFTs. It has already attracted over 5,500 investors and business partners including Binance, Socios.com and CoinMarketCap.

Or Axie Infinity, a game in which users can buy virtual creatures: the “Axie” through NFT, raise them for battles, like Pokémon and with which to challenge other players. And finally Nokua project officially born in 2017 and recognized as the first Nft gaming protocol based on the Nokuchain blockchain.
Thanks to this technology it is possible to simultaneously manage numerous assets and portfolios, manage and own Nft with which you can access Crypto Heroes, the first Nft gamea card game where thousands of users can be faced every day in various tournaments and based on Nokuchain technology.

Noku allows anyone to play, invest and exchange value with the blockchain, without intermediaries, thanks to an ecosystem based on its own token (Noku) through which NFT purchases and numerous game prizes can be governed. Since July 2021, Noku has registered more than 53,000 users on the platform, while from January 2022 there are between 100 and 150,000 transactions per day. Numbers that further confirm how much the growth of the NFT phenomenon seems to have no brakes.
