The investigations of the Ats on health workers continue, obliged by law to receive the anti-Covid vaccination to continue working and receiving salary. Based on the latest update provided by the Region are 488 suspended in public facilities because they did not want to receive the anti-Covid dose, 38 more than last week. It is about 0.5 percent of total public sector employees, that matters 103 thousand people (as of December 2020). The audience reaches 115 thousand if we consider other forms of contract: the percentage of no vax thus falls to 0.4 per cent.
I readmitted after the injection
The assessment documents sent by the Ats are 1,334, but less than half has been transformed into suspension. 23 unvaccinated people were given a change of duties so as to remove them from patients, 502 were readmitted to service because they were immunized after receiving the letter (12 more than last week). Another 159 operators were exempted from the injection for valid health reasons, 43 are retired or have resigned. 119 procedures still in progress.
Few and doctors do not vax
Of the total of 488 suspensions, only a small part concerns doctors. I am 29 white coats left at home because they are not protected against Covid, along with 2 veterinarians and 5 health managers. More numerous nurses no vax, 283 throughout Lombardy. The other 169 measures were addressed to technicians, socio-health workers, rehabilitation staff, security personnel.
The backlash on hospitals
Among the Milanese hospitals, theAsst Santi Paolo e Carlo has the largest number of irregular workers (37), followed by the Fatebenefratelli-Sacco (28). Looking at all of Lombardy, Asst of Mantua suspended 51 employees following the investigations by Ats, the Civil Hospitals of Brescia 38.
The private sector
The data relating to the private sector, on the other hand, are not complete. The Ats have sent so far 1,413 letters of assessment to accredited or affiliated structures, 31 to professional offices, 91 to pharmacies and parapharmacies, 248 to other bodies but the regional report does not indicate how many of these messages have been transformed into suspensions. Assuming that the data are in line with those of the public sector, the suspensions in the private sector would be about 640. For 5,556 health workers, the employer is checking or not verifiable.
