Noelia García Achieves Top Score in MIR 2024 Exam

The Ministry of Health has officially announced the provisional results of the MIR 2024 exam, and Noelia García has emerged as the number 1 candidate. With a total of 190 correct answers, Noelia achieved a net score of 187, equivalent to a remarkable 95 percent of correct answers. These results have surpassed expectations, as Noelia was anticipated to be a top contender by her preparation academy, but she has now exceeded even their estimates.

In an interview with Medical Writing, Noelia expressed her pride in the achievement and stated that she is torn between pursuing Dermatology and Endocrinology and Nutrition as her specialties, both of which she is passionate about. Noelia credits her success to her preparation academy, MIR Asturias, where she opted for fully online preparation and reported “tutoring herself” through much of the process.

In addition to Noelia’s personal success, the overall MIR exam results have seen an increase in the cut-off mark for the various specialties, with the mark for Medicine now set at 115, two points higher than the previous year. The top 10 percent of scores on the MIR exam currently average 461.3 points, indicating a high level of aptitude among the candidates who took the test.

Noelia has also disclosed her intention to remain in Madrid and is considering several prestigious hospitals for her future career, including the University Hospital of La Paz, the Ramón y Cajal, and the Infanta Sofía.

The provisional results for MIR and the rest of the specialized health training tests held in January have been made public, and Health has opened the exam claims deadline for any discrepancies to be addressed.
