Other startups in the Italian Tech Database: there are now 294

They do research on genetic diseases, but also on investments in biotech, financing to SMEs, fintech, IoT for businesses and payments: this is the operational scope of the 8 new startups entered into the Italian Tech Startup Database which has debuted last September 23 (here the explanation of the reasons and objectives).

Here is more detail who I am and how they grow.

PinCell is a biotech company Milanese focused on new therapies for rare dermatological diseases. Founded in 2018 as a spin-off of the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia by Carlo Pincelli and Alessandra Marconi, in 2020 it closed a 1.7 million round with Sofinnova Partners (and its Sofinnova Telethon Fund).

Biovalley Investments is a startup specializing in investment in companies that develop innovative technologies for medicine and life sciences. Founded in 2016 by Diego Bravar, the company raised 1.7 million from an equity crowdfunding campaign on the Crowdfundme platform.

Micro-credit is a startup specializing in micro-credit, or in the provision of loans to small and micro enterprises. Founded in December 2017 and operational since 2019, after obtaining the authorization to operate from the Bank of Italy, Microcredito d’Impresa is owned by the startup investment holding Innovative-RFK Spa and is led by CEO Massimo Laccisaglia (who is also president of i-RFK) and by the general manager Diego Rizzato. In 2020 it raised 756 thousand euros in the equity crowdfunding campaign on the Opstart portal.

Zerynt is a startup that develops solutions for businesses, in particular tools for the creation of connected devices and for the digitization of processes. Founded in 2015 in Pisa, in 2020 it closed a 2 million round led by Vertis SGR, through the Vertis Venture 3 Tech Transfer Fund.

Soisy is a fintech startup which offers installment payment services for purchases on ecommerce, financed by private investors. Operating since May 2016, when it obtained authorization from the Bank of Italy to operate as a payment institution, in 2020 it closed 3 equity crowdfunding campaigns on 200Crowd, raising 2.5 million.

Phononic Vibes, a spin-off of the Politecnico di Milano which develops and markets technologies for the reduction of noise and vibrations, in 2020 closed a capital increase of 2.3 million euros led by Eureka! Fund I – Technology Transfer, fund managed by Eureka! Venture Sgr.

IntendiMe, a startup born with the aim of improving life of people with hearing impairment, in 2020 closed an investment round of 2.2.3 million with VV3TT – Vertis Venture 3 Technology Transfer, a venture capital fund with a focus on technology transfer managed by Vertis SGR.

Winelivery is a startup founded by Francesco Magro and Andrea Antinori in 2016. It deals with home delivery of alcohol, ice and soft drinks. In 2020, it closed a € 2.5 million investment round led by Gellify Digital Investments.
