Over 2,000 cases of monkeypox. WHO: moderate risk - breaking latest news

Monkeypox was reported to WHO by 42 states and as of June 15 the total toll is 2,103 confirmed cases, including one death. It emerges from a WHO report released today.

Most of the cases were recorded in the European region: Great Britain has 524followed by the Spain (313), Germania (263) e Portugal (241) while for Italy the budget is 68 (figure updated yesterday by the Ministry of Health at 71).

“WHO assesses the risk globally as moderate whereas this is the first time that many cases and clusters of monkeypox have been reported simultaneously in many countries in widely disparate WHO geographic areas. “
