Paupisi (Bn), great success for the Junior Active School project

Great success for the conclusion of the project “Junior Active School” at the primary school of Paupisi (Benevento). This is an initiative that involved lower secondary school students. A program promoted by Sport and Health and the Ministry of Education and Merit (MIM), in collaboration with the Minister for Sport and Youth through the Department for Sport of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, with the participation of the Federations National Sports and Associated Sports Disciplines.

A project that encourages the discovery of many different and exciting sports in all lower secondary school classes. An engaging multi-sport offer, thanks to the participation of the National Sports Federations and Associated Sports Disciplines, and much more. In practice, the project, which last year involved more than 3,160 lower secondary schools throughout Italy and 700 thousand students, provided, free of charge for the schools, a multi-sport offer and many dedicated activities and innovations to children and teachers. These include the Sports Weeks, entire weeks dedicated to the various sports combined with the school, in which federal technicians work alongside the Physical Education teacher during lesson times.

These therefore represented new challenges for the children, under the guidance of expert technicians as well as an opportunity for the teachers to delve deeper into the details of the various disciplines. Each class, during the Sports Science lessons, and under the guidance of the Federal Coach of the Italian Tennis Federation, Arianna Bernardino and Professor Adriano Pagnozzi, discovered the world of tennis. Each student practiced the sport firsthand, through specific games and technical exercises. It was an exciting experience that enriched our young athletes from a motor point of view. The project, whose main aim was to promote knowledge and characteristics of the chosen sports (athletics and tennis), intrigued and interested the children, who participated with significant commitment and motivation.
