Psychologist bonus, requests to INPS – Healthcare from 18 March

From 18 March you can submit the request on the INPS website for the so-called psychologist bonus (Contribution to support the costs of psychotherapy sessions). The benefit is intended for requesting citizens with ISEE not exceeding 50 thousand euros and applications for the contribution request can be submitted until 31 May 2024. Compared to last year, the contribution amounts have been increased and it has been extended to 270 days the time for its use. The Ministry of Health announces this on its website.

At the deadline of May 31st, the rankings of those entitled will be drawn up based on the available resources. The contribution will be given as a priority to people with the lowest ISEE, based on the order in which the application arrives. To submit the application you must have SPID, CIE or CNS credentials.
The application to access the bonus must be submitted exclusively electronically, by accessing the ‘Contribution to psychotherapy sessions’ service through the INPS web portal, accessible directly by the citizen via Spid level 2 or higher, Electronic Identity Card (Cie) 3.0 o National Services Charter (Cns); or through the integrated contact center by contacting the toll-free number 803.164 (free from a landline) or the number 06 164.164 (from a paid mobile network). This year, the ministry specifies, the amounts of the contribution have been increased and the time for its use has been extended to 270 days: for ISEE less than 15,000 euros the benefit, up to 50 euros for each session, is paid to the competition of the maximum amount established at 1,500 euros for each beneficiary; for ISEE between 15,000 and 30,000 euros the benefit, up to 50 euros for each session, is paid up to the maximum amount established at 1,000 euros for each beneficiary; for ISEE exceeding 30,000 and not exceeding 50,000 euros the benefit, up to 50 euros for each session, is paid up to the maximum amount established at 500 euros for each beneficiary.

In the circular published on its website, INPS explains that for applications relating to the year 2024 and subsequent years, the time window will be communicated annually with a specific message.

“Mental health, especially of our young people, is a public health priority. From 2023 we have made the psychologist bonus structural by increasing the amount of the contribution that citizens can request up to 1,500 euros. We have refinanced it and increased it further for 2024 with the Milleproroghe decree”, states the Minister of Health, Orazio Schillaci. “This measure – he explains in a note – is part of an overall strategy on which we are committed, also with the activities of the mental health roundtable, to strengthen the network of services in the area and to promote the culture of mental health with particular regarding the fight against stigma”. From 18 March it will be possible to submit a request for a contribution to cover the costs of psychotherapy sessions (Psychologist bonus). The benefit is intended for requesting citizens with ISEE not exceeding 50 thousand euros.
