Qonto and Yolo expand their partnership with a cybersecurity policy for SMEs

by admin

The innovative partnership between fintech and insurtech is strengthened with an all-digital policy in the cybersecurity field. Qonto, a startup active in financial management for SMEs and professionals, and Yolo, the first Italian group of digital insurance brokerage services, integrate a new insurance solution into Qonto’s business finance management service offering to protect client companies from hacker attacks.

It is no mystery that cyber threats have multiplied in recent months under the pressure of the forced digitization of business activities and that in the coming months the push for digital transformation will increase the fragility of companies, often unprepared to respond adequately to threats.

The Qonto Observatory on the digitalization of SMEs points out that in 2020 63% of companies introduced digital financial services, 45% tools for smart working, 34% online marketing services and 28% e-commerce platforms for the sale of its products. A context that has made them more vulnerable to hacker attacks which in the last twelve months, due to the rapid spread of smart-working, have increased exponentially.

However, full awareness of the risks still seems to be lacking in the entrepreneurial fabric. From a recent research by the Politecnico di Milano with a focus on fintech / insurtech in micro-enterprises, it emerges that only 6% of Italian SMEs in the last year have insured themselves against cyber risks.

The goal of the new service is to offer Qonto customers a simple, fast and completely digital service that protects the company assets from the consequences – expenses and damages – of a cyber attack, during the exercise of their business and to continue to create synergy between fintech and insurtech services to support SMEs.
