A surprising trick has gone viral on TikTok. This even replaces your oven’s self-cleaning function and allows you to get a sparkling clean appliance in no time. Below you will find out how you can clean the oven using only a dishwashing tablet.

The dishwashing tab usually belongs in the detergent compartment. But it seems that the tablets are very versatile and work wonders even on dirty ovens. But you shouldn’t have a dishwasher to try the trick. Just buy the tablets and stop spending money on expensive cleaning products.
How does it work?

To clean your oven quickly and efficiently, you need a dishwashing tablet. Put it in a baking dish and put it in the oven. Then pour 1 liter of boiling water over it and close the oven door.
Set it to 100°C and let it run for an hour. The mild temperature and boiling water dissolve the tablet and the active ingredients it contains begin to evaporate and settle on the walls and all parts of the oven. Their degreasing, dissolving and cleaning properties help to easily remove all burnt-on food residues without having to scrub.
After an hour, open the oven, take out the baking dish with the liquid and wipe the walls and oven door with a damp sponge. You will notice that the dirt comes off immediately. Finally, dry the oven with kitchen paper or a dry cloth.
Tipp: If you really want to thoroughly clean your oven, start by removing the racks. Place these in the bathtub, add a dishwashing tablet and cover with boiling water. Let them soak in the solution for an hour.
Cleaning the oven with a dishwasher tab: Second method
Cleaning the oven with dishwashing tablets is easy, cheap and environmentally friendly and there is a second method you can try. All you need is a bowl of hot water, a dishwashing tablet, a sponge, paper towels and rubber gloves to protect your hands.
Put on the rubber gloves and remove all racks and trays from the oven. Submerge the dishwashing tablet in the bowl of warm water for a few seconds to soften it slightly. But be careful not to let it dissolve. Then scrub the inside of the device with the tablet by dipping it in the water every now and then. After you have removed all dirt, wipe the oven with a damp sponge and dry it with kitchen paper.
