Research: Fedriga, an essential tool to support healthcare – Healthcare

“This event gives the opportunity to reiterate the importance of the dualism between clinical activity and the world of research, essential to guarantee citizens’ right to health which is among the founding principles of our Constitution. Working together and listening to experiences of professionals in the sector is the path to follow to efficiently reorganize the healthcare system and provide adequate responses to the population”. The governor of Fvg Massimiliano Fedriga said this at “It is better treated where research is done”, organized for the awarding of the fourteenth-century seal to the Respiratory Diseases Association (Amar Fvg).

The aim of the conference was to share reflections and testimonies on the scientific and healthcare Trieste and the discussion between experts on the multidisciplinarity that characterizes research in the medical field today.

“From the analyzes of the current situation of the healthcare sector in Friuli Venezia Giulia – added Fedriga – what emerges in our region is that activity linked to healthcare services is too scattered, compared to a higher number of nurses and doctors than the national average. This leads to the non-optimization of the use of professional strength and a general slowdown in the provision of services. The choices to which politics is called to intervene in this context must necessarily have a prospective vision, so that the local health system can sustain itself in the long period”.
