Headache seems unique to us, but in reality it could be the symptom of different syndromes, which can affect anyone, in general, or perhaps men or women in particular. For this we must not minimize, but take seriously this signal that the body sends us. Cluster headache is characterized by affecting only one side of the head with severe pain. It usually focuses on an area surrounding the eye. It affects one in 500 or 1,000 people and can occur at any age, although it is more likely to occur after the age of 20 and in males. The people most at risk appear to be smokers.

Headache is defined as a cluster because it comes without warning and for repeated attacks, even eight a day. They last several weeks (usually 4 to 12 weeks) and are interspersed with periods where, instead, it disappears, perhaps for months or years. These include redness and tearing of the eye, swollen or drooping eyelid, narrowing of the pupil, facial sweating, closed or runny nostril, red ear.
