“GTA” publisher Take-Two confirmed in an investor meeting that they have works in development and listed 3 undisclosed “new generation versions of previously released games.”
These projects are listed together with the upcoming PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions of “Grand Theft Auto V” and “Kerbal Space Project” and the planned “Grand Theft Auto Online” standalone version.
Take-Two has only publicly discussed its intention to continue making remakes of past works. In March of this year, the companyās CEO Strauss Zelnick discussed its strategy in this area and said that he was not interested in the release of the “easy port”.
“The Four Seas: Trilogy” is a collection of remake and remake, released in May 2020. Rockstar is currently preparing to bring the remake of “Grand Theft Auto V” to PS5 and Xbox Series X in the second half of 2021. /S.
At a meeting, Zelnck said: “I’m not sure there will be a bigger part of the strategy than this,” he said. “Remastering has always been part of the strategy. Our approach is different from that of our competitors-we are not just porting games, we spend time working slowly and carefully, in fact, we do our best for the new version and our upcoming game release. The new technology platform produces different works.”
“As a result, we improved the technology, upgraded the visual effects, and enhanced the performance. That’s why I think our remake games usually perform so well.”
