Tech-oriented football summer

The cups of innovation are coming, it was time. We hope that there will be no symbolic trophies left but they will give our football the input to truly innovate the system and give football startups the opportunity to find not only investors, visibility and concrete applications at the highest levels.

The championship is just around the corner starting on 13-14 August and in itself this is already a novelty, even if the big clubs will experience new emotions already during the tech-friendly pre-season friendlies.

The services offered are not limited only to the sphere of the field. The German company has also thought about optimizing the accessibility and usability of the stadium for those present. A software called Crowd Management System will inform those present on the situation of the queues for entrances, bathrooms and bars, indicating which infrastructure is less crowded and thus allowing to avoid unpleasant crowds of people.

The Managing Director of the Cologne, Philip Turoffhe said he was enthusiastic about the event and all the possibilities it could open to the world of football:

“With Deutsche Telekom, our businessat will be the protagonists of this match. The Cologne, the companyat and several startups want to show what it will beat possible to do in the football of the future.

Milan-Cologne was immediately nominated “Innovation match” but on July 30th here is a rival to contend for the title: Roma-Tottenham, the pre-season match in Israel. Roma will participate in the I-Tech Cup against the team coached by Antonio Conte. And both the director of Roma Pinto and of the Spurs Fabio Paratici underlined how: “playing in Haifa will also represent an experience of great interest for all of us football stakeholders, regardless of the clubs involved”.

The I-Tech Cup is a format conceived by MTR7 organizers, with the aim of giving visibility to technological innovations in a country like Israel known for being a center full of high-tech companies. Before we even get excited to define who will be the winter champion this year, we will know who will be the “innovation champion”, with a contamination between countries and leagues, corporates and startups that we hope will bring to these clubs more than a mere title on the bulletin board but a real baggage of best practices and experiences to be translated immediately into concrete actions to attract the youngest public and project them immediately into the show in the football to come.
