The Board of Directors of Sport and Health met this Thursday, called to address various items on the agenda.

Among these also the one relating to the project sustainability report 2023 which represents the non-financial reporting of corporate activity.
The balance sheet, structured on the three ESG (Environment, Social and Governance) pillars, summarizes the commitment, objectives and results obtained by the company during 2023, also demonstrating its solidity.

In the budget it is highlighted, as part of the Governancethe presence of a majority (54%) of women among the total employees, to whom 13,342 hours of training were provided, with an increase of 25% compared to 2022 and an involvement of 66% more participants than to the previous year.

Regarding the scope SocialSport and Health activities involved over 11,100 primary and lower secondary schools, over 2 million pupils in 104 thousand classes in 4 thousand municipalities, as well as 7,500 tutors and technicians, with an SROI (social return on investment) of 3 ,2.
On the other hand, 390 social sport projects were financed, with over 190 thousand beneficiaries, while 224 training courses were promoted by the School of Sport for a total of 36 thousand participants.

On the topic ofEnvironmentHowever, the sustainability report certifies a 22% decrease in CO2 emissions from the use of diesel, as well as a 7% decrease in water consumption, a 20% decrease in diesel consumed and a 12% decrease in energy consumption from district heating.

During the session, the Board of Directors also approved the disbursements foreseen by the “Sport in Parks” project which to date has allowed the creation of 177 equipped areas within parks or beaches in as many municipalities in 18 Regions.

The Board of Directors also analyzed the final report of the “Sport and Integration” project, created by Sport and Health and financed by the Ministry of Labor and Social Policies.
