The inexhaustible debate on the Zan DDL (officially rejected in the Senate on 28 October but returned – masked – from the window on the occasion of the vote on the Transport DL on 4 November) has the merit of keeping the lights on on the experiences and experiences of transgender people in Italy , but at the same time it feeds a series of erroneous beliefs. The first is carried out by those who argue – although the numbers disprove it – that in Italy there is a boom, an epidemic born of a “social contagion” of transgender girls and boys; the second is widespread by those who declare that these minors are given hormones and drugs easily and without full awareness.
