University of Messina Professor Appointed President of New Scientific and Economic Commission of Medicines Agency
Professor Lara Gitto, associate of Political Economy at the Department of Economics of the University of Messina, has been appointed as the president of the new Scientific and Economic Commission (CSE) of the Medicines Agency by the Minister of Health Orazio Schillaci. This new body will replace the Technical-Scientific Commission (Cts) and the Prices and Refunds Committee (Cpr) of AIFA and will play a crucial role in the new organizational structure of the Agency.
Professor Gitto has been involved in health economics since her postgraduate training and is a member of various scientific associations operating in this sector. She has also collaborated with important national and international institutions in recent years.
Giovanna Spatari, the rector of the University, expressed her pride in Professor Gitto’s appointment and congratulated her on behalf of the entire academic community.
