The Minister of University and Research, Maria Cristina Messa, signed the decree n. 1111 which provisionally defines the places available for access to the single-cycle master’s degree course in medicine and surgery for the academic year 2022/2023.
The training potential entered by the universities in the database is 14,740 places for candidates from EU and non-EU countries residing in Italy, compared to 14,020 in last year, and 1,136 for candidates from non-EU countries residing abroad. The decree assigns the places to universities on a provisional basis, pending the definition of the agreement that will be entered into within the Permanent Conference for relations between the State, the Regions and the Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano.
“In addition to the decree for medicine and surgery, the other ministerial decrees (n. 1115 and 1112) that define the available places, always provisional, for master’s degree courses in dentistry and dental prosthesis and veterinary medicine. With regard to the former, the training potential expressed by the universities in the database is 1,330 places, while for the master’s degree course in veterinary medicine the places are 1,040.
Again on a provisional basis, with decree no. 1113, have been defined places for degree courses in the health professions. In total, for candidates from EU and non-EU countries residing in Italy, there are 31,730 (for the last academic year they were 30,180) divided as follows: 1,097 for obstetrics, 264 for pediatric nursing and 17,997 for nursing, 809 for professional education, 157 for podiatry, 2,622 for physiotherapy, 915 for speech therapy, 309 for orthoptics and ophthalmological assistance, 407 for neuro and psychomotor therapy of developmental age, 445 for psychiatric rehabilitation technique, 274 for occupational therapy, 1,212 for biomedical laboratory techniques, 1,327 for medical radiology techniques, for imaging and radiotherapy, 185 for neurophysiopathology techniques, 199 for orthopedic techniques, 320 for hearing aid techniques, 243 for cardiocirculatory and cardiovascular pathophysiology techniques, 825 for dental hygiene, 574 for dietetics, 95 for audiometric techniques, 602 for health care and 852 for prevention techniques in the environment and in the workplace.
Ultimately, however, with decree no. 1114, were indicated places for candidates from non-EU countries resident abroad for access to degree courses in dentistry and dental prostheses (119), veterinary medicine (59), health professions (1,616 three-year and 86 for master’s) and primary education sciences (164).
From Monday 4 July, candidates who want to register to participate in the admission tests to degree courses in medicine and surgery, dentistry and dental prosthetics and veterinary in Italian can do so through the dedicated portal.
The ministerial decree n. 1110 which defines the procedures and contents of the admission test to master’s degree courses in medicine and surgery and dentistry and dental prosthesis in English. Also in this case, candidates will be able to register starting from Monday 4th July.
The national admission tests to the national restricted access degree courses for the next academic year will take place between Tuesday September 6 – for candidates for single-cycle master’s degree courses in medicine and surgery and in dentistry and dental prostheses in Italian – and on Wednesday 28 September, when candidates for master’s degree courses in the health professions will close.
Thursday September 8 the test for veterinary medicine is scheduled, on the 13th that for candidates in medicine and surgery and in dentistry and dental prostheses delivered in English, Thursday September 15 for health professions, the September 20 for access to the single-cycle master’s degree in primary education sciences, while for architect training the test dates will be defined by each University in its own call and must be completed by Friday September 23.
The indications on the methods of carrying out the tests are included in the ministerial decrees: for all it is a question of solving questions, with a different number of possible options among which to indicate the only correct answer “.
