T. aged 16 will be compensated by the state for the permanent damage of an autoimmune thrombocythemia caused by a dose of Covid vaccine. And he will be entitled to 750 euros per month for 15 years.
The compensation, established on the basis of health tables, is supported by an unassailable report, that of a public health body, the Military Department of Forensic Medicine of La Spezia, which recognized the causal link between vaccination and the autoimmune thrombocythemia reported by the boy a few weeks after receiving a dose of Moderna. According to the technicians, in fact, the pathology reported by the young man is “a serious adverse reaction potentially triggered by the procedure itself even if as a contributing factor in a subject until then perfectly healthy” and therefore “the damage is attributable to the eighth category of table A attached to the Presidential Decree 834 of December 30, 1981 “for” permanent impairment of psychophysical integrity “.
The story, made known by Codacons, the association that legally assists the boy even though it has always declared itself in favor of the vaccine, has at the same time launched various legal initiatives so that all citizens damaged by the inoculations could obtain the compensation they are entitled to according to law 210 / 92 according to which “anyone who has reported, due to vaccinations required by law or by order of an Italian health authority, injuries or infirmities, from which a permanent impairment of psycho-physical integrity has resulted, has the right to compensation from the State”.
In the case of T. the link seems to have been established without a shadow of a doubt and the compensation procedure taken for granted. If, on the other hand, the ministry raises objections, “we are ready to go into action”, declares Cristina Adducci, a lawyer who for Codacons has followed the young man’s story, which will be followed by disputes of hundreds of other serious cases selected among the 5 thousand reports of adverse events more or less serious arrived at the association.
The story of T. and his ordeal starts from afar. He had already asymptomatically infected during the first wave and waited a year before deciding to get a shot of the vaccine and just to get the green pass. But after a month of inoculation, he feels bad: extensive hematoma on his right arm and neck, “bubbles” of blood on the palate, tongue and inner cheeks. A condition that requires immediate hospitalization due to the collapse of blood platelets (1000 / mm3 out of a minimum value of 150 thousand).
T. leaves the hospital after a month spent in the pediatric oncohematology department of the Aoup “Santa Chiara” in Pisa, with an established diagnosis of autoimmune thrombocytopenia. A suspected pathology, so much so that doctors report the batch number of the vaccine carried out to AIFA to ascertain a correlation with the disease.
But T.’s ordeal does not end there. After his resignation in Pisa, the values remain altered and a second consultation, this time at the Oncohematology Department of the Gaslini Pediatric Hospital in Genoa, confirms, after genetic and immunological analyzes, the diagnosis of “persistent ITP”.
