Valladolid to host VIII Congress of Preventive Medicine and Public Health
Valladolid will become the epicenter of Preventive Medicine and Public Health between this Wednesday and Friday as it hosts the VIII Congress of the Northern Society of Preventive Medicine and Public Health – SOCINORTE – at the Conde Ansúrez Congress Palace.
Nearly 200 specialists in Preventive Medicine and Public Health, along with Nursing professionals dedicated to prevention and Public Health, will gather for three days to share their experiences and knowledge.
The Congress, chaired by Dr. Javier Castrodeza, head of the Preventive Medicine service of the University Clinical Hospital of Valladolid, will feature the presence of the Minister of Health, Alejandro Vázquez, and the mayor of Valladolid, Jesús Julio Carnero, at the opening ceremony scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Thursday.
Under the theme ‘Moving into the future: Challenges and Opportunities in Preventive Medicine and Public Health‘, the event will cover a wide range of relevant topics. Discussions will include data science for security, surveillance, and prevention, advancements in disinfection and sterilization, One Health, immunity and vaccines, and the future of the specialty.
The Congress aims to bring together experts in the field to exchange ideas and knowledge, ultimately working towards improving preventive measures and public health practices.
