The Court of Velletri has dismissed the position of eight people, including representatives of the ownership, administrators and medical managers of the private healthcare group Ini, accused of forgery and conspiracy fraud, as part of an investigation by the Public Prosecutor’s Office into the provision of oncological services and treatments in the healthcare facility of Grottaferrata (Rome).
This was announced by the leadership of the Ini Group which speaks of “the end of an infamy and a nightmare that lasted 7 years with the dismissal of unfounded accusations which spoke of fraud against the National Health System by profiting from cancer patients”.
The Ini Group expresses “full satisfaction with the outcome of a judicial matter which finally restores dignity to great professionals and to a company which has represented the excellence of healthcare in Lazio for over 75 years”. “In these long years, especially in the last one, despite the desire to discredit the Group – we read in a note from the INI – there has never been a lack of support from the many honest collaborators who work daily in the departments and the trust of the patients who have continued to choose Ini Grottaferrata for oncological treatments”.
The Ini group hopes that “now the position regarding the urological services affair will be clarified in the process that will follow. In this regard, the Ini Group reiterates its trust in justice and is certain that full light will be shed on the many strange aspects of this affair , first of all the reasons why self-styled officials of the Regional Administration of the previous council – writes the Ini Group in the note – would have maintained relationships with an unfaithful policeman and a former trade unionist sentenced to 6 and 5 years for blackmailing the Group’s property, as appears from the wiretaps in the documents of that trial”.
