IIDEA, the association that represents video games in our country, has unveiled the ranking of the ten best-selling games in Italy In the 2023. Like every year it is not surprising to see it in first place EA Sports FC 24given the great attachment to national sport.
Likewise, it is not surprising to also see Hogwarts Legacy and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 on the podium, in second and third place respectively, in line with what was also seen in the markets of European countries.

The ranking is part of IIDEA’s report on the results of the video game market in Italy in 2023, which we summarized in a dedicated news item. Remaining on the subject of video games sold, last year an increase in the purchase of new video games of 6% was recorded, for a total turnover of 577 million euros.
Very interesting to note that 46% of these purchases concern games in physical formatdemonstrating that in our country the retail market is still very important, despite the increasingly widespread use of digital delivery.
