It is too early to say whether the prevention measures (vaccines, masks, distancing, hand hygiene) are starting to give some results in the province of Belluno and in the Veneto, but there are some encouraging signs: in the Veneto the incidence today, Thursday December 9, finally drops to 367 (from yesterday’s record of 386, after weeks of ever-increasing values) but it is above all in the province of Belluno that the decline in the contagion indicator has lasted for a few days, perhaps showing the beginning of a trend: 298, then 275, then 268 and today 256. The constant growth in the number of vaccinated people, on the other hand, “takes away” the virus.
The calculation of the Friend of the People is performed on the basis of the unconsolidated data contained in the daily 8 am report released by Azienda Zero. The incidence relates to the new tested cases of SARS-COV-2 in the space of a week per 100,000 inhabitants.
