Veronika Strassmann has been receiving the weight loss injection with the active ingredient semaglutide for nine months. She has already lost 22 kilograms. In the fourth part of her minutes she describes how she had to fight for the drug in the pharmacy, how good it is for her – and why she is critical of strong regulations.
Since August 2023 I have weighed 22 kilos less. I notice in little things how my body changes with every kilo that goes down. I can now tie my shoelaces while standing again. I’ve recently been able to fit into my dentist’s chair without any problems. I move more freely in the swimming pool. And I don’t care where I get a parking space when I go shopping – then I just walk a few more steps to do my errands. The changes give me the courage and strength to carry on. Every day it improves a little.
