With their Carrera track, Andre Krause and Jens Parchmann could not only recreate the Nürburgring true to scale, but also any other racetrack in the world. According to them, it is the longest privately owned property in Europe. In the three years since they started collecting supplies, they’ve accumulated quite a lot of material.

At the latest since the Geesthachts have set up part of their track on two stand-up paddling boards in the middle of Lake Oortkaten, the Carrera company has also become aware of the two and is now supporting them with material and contacts. Because they have a mission: If they let someone ride their train, they ask for donations for the Children’s Heart Foundation, which supports innovative research projects for children with heart disease. They have already raised around 20,000 euros. “Carrera isn’t just something for children, it also awakens play instincts and memories in adults, too,” says Jens Parchmann.

In June they want to fulfill their big dream: to set up their track as a whole. This was not previously possible, as it would require a hall of at least 400 square meters. That’s why there has always only been parts of the railway to admire. “You have to do crazy things to achieve good things,” says Jens Parchmann.
