Headline: “Free Cardiological Screening Event ‘Cuore di Donna’ to Raise Awareness on Women’s Cardiovascular Health”
On Sunday 10 March, the ODV Health and Safety association, in collaboration with “SerCorato” and the Wellness Evolution – Scaringella family, will host a free event dedicated to women called “Cuore di Donna” in honor of Women’s Day. The event, sponsored by the Municipality of Corato and the ASL Bari, aims to provide women with a cardiological screening to help recognize and prevent cardiovascular diseases.
Cardiovascular diseases are one of the leading causes of death in Italy, affecting both men and women. Women, especially during the post-menopausal period, are more predisposed to certain risk factors that can lead to heart-related issues. In order to raise awareness about these risks, Dr. Maria A. Ceglia, along with healthcare professionals from the ODV Health and Safety association, will provide free prevention screenings to women aged between 40 and 65. The screening will include blood pressure measurement, anamnestic questionnaire, and a specialist cardiological examination with an electrocardiogram.
The “Cuore di Donna” event will take place on Sunday 10 March in Piazza Cesare Battisti from 9am to 12pm and from 4pm to 6pm. To book an appointment for the screening, participants are advised to call 351.3443530 on Friday 8th and Saturday 9th March from 4pm to 7pm. Spaces are limited, so early booking is recommended.
