An American study that analyzed a group of people explained the reason. They gave their participants a series of marbles and two bowls of water.
What they had to do was simple, try to grab them right in the container. At the end of the experiment it was found that those fine lines that form on the hands are used to be able to better grasp objects in the event that one is in contact with water for a long time.

However, there is also another thing to underline. The study reveals the wrinkles on the fingertips demonstrate how blood vessels constrict it is activated as soon as the skin comes into contact with water.
To disagree with these decisions, however, are ghe German scientists Max from the Delbrück Center for Molecular Medicine and the Charité Universitätsmedizin in Berlin. According to them, sponged fingers would have no sense and would be of no use at all.
